Book Review
Time
I’ve been
reading bunch in the past year. Most have been Children’s books because I was
doing research for my own Children’s book “ Birdies Traveling Circus”.
But, along
with the hundreds of Children’s books -
I’ve also read a few YA, Adult, Manga series and etc.
And it’s
time that I write a review on the lovely books.
After all,
what are books written for if not for reviews – just kidding – I’m sure the
authors just wanted their books to be read, but being that two of these books
are self-published – I thought – why not share it with a few people out there,
who might be reading this.
Both of
these books are Self-Published and are worthy of being talked about –
regardless of them being self-publised.
“Chesca and the Spirit of Grace” by Lara
O’Brien
This book is 307 pages long and it’s
meant for middle grade children – ages 8-12, but I really enjoyed it and I’m
much older than 12. J
The Cover
Art is Beautiful. I never really understood why “Book-tubers”, would go on an
on about book covers, but let me tell you this cover is the first cover that
made me go – WOW, that’s a really nice book cover. Before that, I never really
paid attention to covers.
The main
character is so love-able, makes me wish I was her. She's a dreamer and even
though she thinks that no one understands her, except for her animal friends,
she learns that she has a lot more friends than she thought. She learns to
fight for family and gains her courage.
“My Busy Week” by Lovely Sweetiepie
Ok – aside
from the Author’s name – which is obviously a pen name, this Picture Book –
Yes, Picture Book , just because it’s
a picture book doesn’t mean it’s not worth reviewing.
This book is
geared towards young readers that are learning their days of the week. It’s told
in Rhyme – I’m a sucker for books that Rhyme. The Illustrations are simply Beautiful
– simple but Beautiful.
Both Books are available on Amazon.com
